2010 Winter Olympics

When Vancouver hosted the 2010 Winter Olympic Games, the athletics were just part of the massive undertaking for the City and for Panther. Dozens of new venues, pavilions, celebrations, art installations and other activities sprung up across Vancouver, and Panther played a key role in several.

Olympic Sport Venues - Video, Scoreboard and Ceremonial Rigging
The Olympic organizing committee asked Panther to design and provide custom rigging systems for every indoor competition venue, including several installations which pushed the buildings to their limits!

"Vectorial Elevation" - Massive Digital Art Installation
The Olympic organizing committee's "Cultural Olympiad" produced a wide range of performances and artworks across Vancouver. Panther was asked to take on production of "Vectorial Elevation", a massive, interactive digital artwork spanning over a million square feet and reaching five miles into the sky!

2010 Celebration Sites - Surrey Live!
Four official Olympic celebration sites around the Lower Mainland were commissioned by the organizing committee, and Panther was asked to provide complete production, technical and site management to the Holland Park site in Surrey, B.C.

Canada's Northern House Pavilion
A joint venture of Canada's three northern territories, Northern House was one of the most popular pavilions at the 2010 Olympics. Panther designed set, lighting and audio systems as well as custom rigging solutions for artwork and exhibits.
