Country Rocks 2008
North Commons Park, Halifax, NS
On a sunny Labour Day weekend, the city of Halifax played host to “Country Rocks the Commons,” a day-long country music festival. An estimated crowd of 20,000 eager country fans spent the afternoon singing along to such favourites as Aaron Pritchett, Jimmy Rankin, Great Big Sea, and Gretchen Wilson. Keith Urban finished off the evening, and serenaded a sea of fans as the sun set over their shoulders. The organizers of “Country Rocks 2008” sought out the services of Panther Management to handle all technical management of the festival, from overseeing the stage build to ensuring production and equipment requirements of the eight touring artists were properly met.
