Pemberton Festival
Live Nation Canada set out on an ambitious mission in 2008; the return of the massive, multi-day, multi-stage, camp-out music festival to Western Canada. With a list of headliners including Coldplay, Nine Inch Nails, Jay-Z and Tom Petty, and a daily attendance upwards of 40,000, mounting the show was a challenge to be sure; the fact that the site was three hours outside Vancouver made supply logistics another challenge altogether.
Panther was brought on board to provide technical production management to the Barn Stage by night, and assist the Main Stage production manager by day. Whether re-building 400 feet of heavy concert barricade on the fly to create a catwalk stage for one of the headliners, or figuring out how to protect sensitive lighting electronics from daily dust storms, Pemberton was that special blend of exciting, exhausting, frustrating, fascinating challenge that only a summer festival can provide, and the kind that we love best!
