Virgin Festival
Already a staple on the UK summer circuit, the Virgin Festival finally landed in North America in 2006, with a test event on Toronto's Olympic Island. Expanding to Vancouver in 2007 and Calgary in 2008, "V-Fest" marks the return of the nationwide rock festival to the Canadian scene.Virgin is a return to the classic summer festival setup, with over two dozen artists performing simultaneously on three stages, a sprawling community marketplace and of course a few key sponsor activations.
Panther was brought on board to manage the festival's initial date in Vancouver in 2007, and has since been asked to take on site management for the Toronto event as well. Our challenge is to juggle the various elements into a cohesive festival layout, and to provide site and technical support to all levels of the event. As well, we work with the Virgin team to constantly raise our standards for a sustainable, 'green' event that provides a welcoming, neighbourhood-style experience for patrons.
